weak mindset

Having a weak mindset can be popular in today’s society as it is so “easy” to get access to everything. In other words, we are living in easy times.

Mindset plays a massive role in your life and in a way you work yourself. If you have a weak mindset, it is common that you are not expecting to reach huge milestones or even your goals.

People with weak mindset tend to hope for luck to come to them instead work their way to success.

Strong minded people are dedicated and disciplined and that’s why they stand out from the average people.

However, the good thing is that mindset can be fixed and today you will learn to understand what kind of actions and habits lead to having a weak mindset.

Can weak mindset be changed?

Absolutely, it’s just all about you and your realization that you need to change it. Moreover, noticing this is already a big step because you are no longer willing to be that person.

Changing your mindset usually begins with profound thinking. You realize which things you need to change. You start to realize that you should approach things as challenges instead of problems.

Just thinking a tiny bit differently can change your whole point of view on certain things. That’s why building a strong, growth mindset is critical.

People with strong mindset should be your source of motivation. You should not look at them in a way that you can never get there. That is already a horrible way to begin.

Therefore, starting to work on your mindset daily is how you’ll eventually reach the goals you want. Seriously, the way you think is a huge factor to get tasks completed.

If you have a weak mindset, don’t wait – mindset can be changed!

Signs you have a weak mindset

Discover how to know if you have a weak mindset. Some of these might be so automatically performed toxic habits that you won’t even notice them in your life.

Giving up easily

Do you give up easily? That is already a sign of a weak mindset.

Furthermore, giving up easily is one of the worst things for your mind because you accept the fact that you are not able to complete a certain thing.

Have you ever worked on something for a quite a bit of time and then gave up. Why did you do that? You broke the consistency that could have led to successful improvement over time.

Here is a motivational source for you: if you have started something you believe in, never give up. What is the point of giving if you already started, remember why you started!

If you feel that you are about to give up, but you are able to hold your consistency and get things done, that’s extremely good for mindset. You overcame a challenging phase.

Before giving up, whether it’s doing last rep in the gym, quitting to work out, or investing in stock market, think twice why you started the journey.

It’s amazing how this way of thinking actually prevents you from giving up.

You avoid risks

Avoiding risks means you have a weak mindset. The reason is simple, you try to stay in your comfort zone because you’re afraid of losing something.

Taking risks can be incredibly rewarding if you are smart about it. The biggest risk is taking no risk!

For example, you have 1000€ to invest in the stock market but you’re afraid of losing it. Instead, you should think: “how can I grow 1000€ into 2000€?”

Doesn’t this make much more sense? That’s how strong minded people think.

For example, if you invested all 1000€ into a one certain stock at once, you will have a huge chance of losing money.

However, investing 100€ in low-cost index funds monthly will have a much higher chance to turn 1000€ into 2000€.

Start taking risks in your life, because without risks you will gain nothing. And even if the risk wasn’t worth it, your mind will calm down because you won’t be regretting that you never tried.

You waste a plenty of time

Wasting a lot of time is very toxic for your mindset. Additionally, wasting time means you use it for unimportant activities such as: scrolling, watching Netflix etc.

When you do that, there is nothing that will improve your mindset. As soon as you realize the value of time, it is going to be much easier to stop wasting it. We won’t get our time back!

Wasting time on useless things is not only bad for your mindset but also for yourself in general because you’ll complete less tasks during the day and feel lazy.

People realize the importance of time too late and that’s why they start regretting that they didn’t take action earlier – use this as motivation to begin today.

Therefore, get rid of actions that waste your time and start working on tasks that matter. Moreover, it will have a positive impact on your mindset.

Thinking in a wrong way

Thinking in a proper way is crucial when it comes to completing tasks and achieving goals. Weak minded people think in a “wrong way”.

Thinking in a wrong way shows you have a weak mindset.

Moreover, rather than thinking “how can I do this” or “how can I afford it”, weak minded people think “I can’t do this” or “I can’t afford it because it’s too expensive”

You see the difference, right? The latter one already shows that weak minded people are not even willing to try achieve something.

That’s the way of thinking you need to get rid of and start practicing the way strong minded people use, generally.

Thinking in a correct way leads to the point where you are able to reach your wants and goals and as a result, it grows your mindset as well.

Creating excuses

This habit is extremely bad for mindset, especially if it is performed daily. You neglect important actions by creating excuses.

Well, what is the point of that? Think about it.

The reality is that the only person who suffers here is you.

Why would you waste your potential and time by creating excuses only because you’re lazy, scared or insecure about something?

Creating excuses only weakens your mindset because you get used to neglecting actions and avoiding doing important things.

The best way to get rid of the habit of creating excuses is just by start doing. You’ll be totally amazed by how much better you feel once you have taken action.

Staying in your comfort zone

This does not straight mean that you have a weak mindset. However, it refers to it a bit.

Staying in comfort zone all the time will not bring any new experiences and values to your life that could potentially grow your mindset.

If you always reject the opportunity when you notice you have to step outside of your comfort zone, that shows weakness in your mind.

Basically, you are afraid of something instead of being excited to try new things that could potentially make you grow and reach new limits.

In order to fix this, challenge yourself to get outside of your comfort zone weekly. That way you’ll be able to grow your mindset and become more confident in different areas of your life.

Scared of taking the first step

Taking the first in whatever aspect can be challenging and it usually is the hardest part because you have more insecurity than confidence.

However, once you have taken the first step, the process begins and the next steps feel a bit easier.

Truthfully, those who are able to take the first step bravely, have strong mindset.

If you neglect taking first step for weeks, even months, it refers to a weak mindset because you are scared of what could happen and what others may think.

But you know what? Would you rather regret later not trying a new thing or feel good about yourself that you tried something you wanted to, even if it didn’t go as planned?

Probably the latter one.

The more you try new things and take first steps into new adventures, the more your mindset will grow and you will less likely to have signs of weak mindset.

Getting rid of weak mindset

Having a weak mindset can be seen in many ways, as I went over the most common ones in this article.

The good news is that you can get rid of these and build a strong mindset just by sticking to healthy routines and staying consistent.

Noticing that you have a weak mindset is already progress.

Anyone who acknowledges that has signs of a weak mindset, should be motivated to start growing a strong, dedicated mindset.

Ultimately, the learning process is all about yourself and being interested to improve as a person and eventually become the person you wish to be.
