After reading this article you should understand how these tips can be inserted into your lifestyle, which ones are best for you and how to use them properly.
I find these tips super helpful and motivating.
How to boost your Productivity?
Boosting your productivity can be natural if you use these ideas correctly. Try and play with them, experiment what works for you.
1. Create a to-do list
As you may know, in order to be productive it is important to have a plan and plan daily tasks. Easy way to help your planning is creating a to-do list.
List things you need to do during the day, and start with the most important one.
Write 2-3 main tasks for each day, and those tasks should be ones that help you to reach your goals. In addition, you can write a wake up time to see the average time you get up during the week.
To-do list is the thing that keeps on track. You take the action, but it drives you to complete the tasks. Please note also that write only essential things on to-do list.
Writing down too many tasks will make more stressful and disorganized. Keep it simple.
2. Wake up earlier
Waking up early is such a game changer to boost productivity. The time boost you get is phenomenal.
It automatically gets you into working attitude. You are more likely to complete more in less time.
In my experience, I see big differences in work output depending on how early I wake up. If I wake up late, or later than usually, I am likely to complete less tasks.
Getting used to waking up early can hard at first, but it is worth it. It also requires that you go to bed early as well because in order to be productive we need good, quality sleep.
Waking up earlier allows you to work without distractions. Moreover, it is better way to spend your day, as you can balance how much you put effort into needed tasks.
3. Workout to boost productivity
Working out is easily one of the best ways to boost your productivity. It refreshes your mind and gives you focus and ability to stay focused on your tasks.
Working out is super beneficial for your health. Workout 3-4 times a week and you will stay in shape and get all what you need to stay productive.
Working out in the morning provides an excellent start for your day. Therefore, it also loads your productivity levels and makes it natural and effortless to work on tasks.
In order to get best productivity boost, limit working out late in the evening. Try also different variations of sports; lifting, running or padel.
The best part of working out in the morning is the free-time after you’ve completed your tasks, as you don’t have to think about a workout later during the day.
4. Complete your most important task(s) before 1 pm
Usually, our productivity is at its best in the morning and forenoon.
I have found that completing your important tasks before 1 pm allows you to stay focused and complete them when your productivity is probably at its peak.
Productivity in the morning is very powerful. It is easier to start taking action and execute your daily plan.
Doing the most difficult tasks before lunchtime will often get you better results as you can use your effort more efficiently.
It’ll boost productivity for the rest of the day when the most important things are done.
Doing important tasks after forenoon gets harder as productivity levels start dropping a bit. This can still depend on person.
Ideally, use your fresh morning energy to complete your most important task.
5. Set small, achievable goals
When it comes to achieving your goals, it is critical to notice the phases you need go through before achieving your goal.
As a result, setting mini-goals keeps you disciplined and consistent to work towards the actual goal.
The idea is that when you accomplish that small goal, you are again a step closer to that actual goal. Setting mini-goals allows to see progress and keeps you on track.
Make sure to not make too many smaller goals because it might make you disorganized when you have too many things to do.
Cutting your actual goal in half or in three parts is optimal as you are able to make progress and therefore boost productivity.
6. Watch educational and motivational content
Use this approach when you feel it is hard to maintain productivity or to get things done. The point is to get your mind to think again that “I got this, let’s get back to work”.
I have had sometimes a feeling that my productivity drops.
I usually watch a motivational YouTube short and I am able to put my phone down and get back to work on my tasks immediately.
In addition, watching educational content about lifestyle and productivity is very beneficial, as it develops your mind to think in a successful way.
I recommend watching content in the evening for 30 minutes or so.
Become disciplined and know what you want!
7. Schedule your tasks
This aspect comes into play when you really want to boost your productivity. This levels up productivity.
Idea is to schedule your 2-3 main tasks, so when you get up in the morning, you know which task you will initiate with. You are also aware of how time you will spend on each task.
Without scheduling, you will lose time on planning your tasks.
8. Find a comfortable environment
When it comes to boosting productivity, the environment you work in determines how much you get done.
Choosing a right work environment can make you work super efficiently and productively.
As an example, I can confidently say everyone would choose to work in a peaceful café instead of noisy mall.
Same thing applies at home. Try to do your tasks in your own home office or in a different room to get into flow mode.
Remove all distractions. Meaning, you don’t have a lot of equipment around you that could interrupt your focus. Put your phone in other room.
9. Get fresh air
When we work on tasks that are steps towards our goals, it is important to give your mind moments to reset and refresh.
Getting outside for 5-10 minutes every 2 hours for example is great way to ensure you stay focused and maintain your productivity as well as great attitude.
Refreshing outside can give you new ideas besides your tasks because you are not constantly stuck at your work.
Why people try to boost their productivity?
First of all, there is usually a reason to boost productivity because we would not think about this if it wasn’t relevant.
People try to get more done in less time and be more efficient with their time. They strive to become successful.
And to be honest, I have enjoyed my life better the more productive I stay.
