This will provide the feeling of productivity and that’s how you will be able to maintain and complete other important tasks as well. 

Starting with essential tasks is a great way to be more productive at home because it helps you to continue the streak of productivity you had at school or work. 

After completing needed essential tasks, you know you were able to stay productive at home and after that you can do other activities you want. 

Unfortunately, if you feel unproductive and start by watching a movie or TV, you’ll never complete your essential tasks at home.

In my experience, this technique is so effective at home because you have timer and during that time, you challenge yourself to get high-quality work done as productively as possible.

This means you create a source of motivation that keeps you productive at home throughout the day. 

For example, you eat a healthy meal after completing an important task, or you do 20 push-ups after completing an important task. Or maybe you watch a short video. 

Create something that works for you. First off, it doesn’t only make you productive but also motivates you a lot because you have that little reward waiting for you.

This is an incredible way to maintain good productivity at home. 

However, the “reward” should be small just to get motivated. The reward can’t be a 3 hour movie or playing video games. That will ruin your productivity for the rest of your day.
